The LandScan dataset comprises a worldwide population database compiled on a 30" X 30" latitude/longitude grid. Using a set of complex calculations, utilizing a variety of spatial factors, a population count is assigned to each grid cell. The result is a gridded, worldwide, GIS population dataset. With this in-hand, any GIS user can perform virtually limitless global population analyses.

This is a six sheet series of 1:10,000 scale topographic maps of St. Helena. East View Cartographic has all these detailed maps in possesion. These maps are published by the Government of the United Kingdom. These 2nd edition maps were produced in 1990. Transverse Mercator Projection U.T.M. Zone 30 Grid. Map measurements given in meters.

These authoritative topographic maps were produced by the Survey of Israel. This 1:50,000 scale series is comprised of 79 map sheets. The maps were published from 1998-2008. The maps are at a detailed 10m contour level, with corner coordinates given in Degrees, Minutes, Seconds, while all other coordinates are in the Israel TM Grid.

This Ethiopia 1:250,000 scale topographic map series is truly unique. The complete set consists of 75 sheets and EVC offers the 69 sheets that are available (in green). These authoritative maps were produced by the Ethiopian Mapping Agency. This series consists of mixed editions (1,2) and were produced from 1979-2007. East View Cartographic is your resource for these rare and inclusive maps.

This entire 22 map series is in EVC possesion. Maps are available on a sheet by sheet basis or as an entire set. These authoritative 1:100,000 scale topographic maps were produced by the Survey of Israel in 1996-2001. Thes maps have 20m contour intervals with corner coordinates for the maps are given in Degrees, Minutes, Seconds while the rest of teh coordinates are given 'Israel TM Grid'. These great detailed maps are in both Hebrew and English, making them great for recreation to research.

EVC offers the most recent version that was made available, that being Edition 3, dated 2004.

WVSPLUS is one database comprised of six libraries varying from 1:250,000 to 1:120,000,000 scales. The different scales allow users to choose appropriate-detail data for their various projects These libraries, WVS250K, WVS001M, WVS003M, WVS012M, WVS040M, and WVS120M, represent the world at 1:250,000, 1:1,000,000, 1:3,000,000, 1:12,000,000, 1:40,000,000, and 1:120,000,000 scales respectively. Beginning October 1, 2006, DAFIF was withdrawn from public distribution. Access to DAFIF was restricted to certain US Government-approved entities.

EVC offers the most recent version that was made available, that being Edition 8, dated 2004.

The DAFIF product is offered in its entirety, with full global coverage in one dataset.

The ASTER GDEM covers land surfaces between 83degN and 83degS and is composed of over 22,000 1-by-1 degree tiles. Tiles that contain at least 0.01 percent land area are included. The ASTER GDEM is provided in geographic lat/long coordinates and a 1 arc-second (30 m) grid of elevation postings. The GDEM is referenced to the WGS84 datum. The GDEM is provided in standard DEM formats by EVC. The GDEM’s pre-production accuracy estimates were 20 meters at 95 percent confidence for vertical data, and 30 meters at 95 percent confidence for horizontal data.

While this is a quality and cost-effective DEM solution for many projects, EVC cannot guarantee its effectiveness or content. According to its publishers, this DEM contains some anomalies and artifacts which can affect accuracy.

These authoritative nautical charts were produced by the Survey of Israel. Text on the maps are in both Hebrew and English. Heights are given in metres above Mean Sea Level, depths are also in metres and are reduced to Chart Datum. Positions are given in WGS84. These maps were produced from 2001-2008. There are 10 total maps in this series along with 10 total insets included within. These are a great resource for those looking to travel or research the Mediterranean waters on Israel's border.

All relevant GIS vector layers were extracted from the maps and used as inputs to the DEM creation process yielding a DEM which is unrivaled in quality. See below for a list of available layers.

Natural Resources of the Kirgiz SSR is the fundamental, full-country geophysical and mineralogical reference work of the Kyrgyzstan Republic. The series consists of 8 sets of quadrangle maps, each produced at 1:500,000 with legends and symbols depicted on each sheet. The maps were originally produced in the final years of the Soviet Union by the Soviet GUGK organization for primarily local use in Kyrgyzstan, and at the time of publication were restricted. The maps have now become publicly available thanks to EVC’s work with Kyrgyz authorities in Bishkek, and we are proud to make this essential set of maps for one of Asia’s most strategic countries available for the first time ever.
