ADRG format
ARC Digitized Raster Graphics (ADRG) are digital raster representations of American military paper topographic products (maps and charts). Original paper maps are converted to ADRG datasets by scanning maps and geometrically re-sampling them into an equirectangular projection. Data collected from a single chart/map series and scale is maintained as a worldwide seamless database of raster graphic data with each pixel having a distinct geographic location. For distribution ADRG data is divided into geographic area sets called Distribution Rectangles (DRs).
ADRG is a general-purpose raster dataset for map displays on mission planning systems, Command and Control systems and aircraft cockpits.
Resolution: 100 micron (254 pixels per inch).
Reference: ARC (equal Arc Second Rectangular System)
Datum: WGS84
Color Depth: 24 bit
East View Cartographic provides conversion services for ADRG datasets. Maps and charts concluding ADRG Distribution Rectangles can be extracted and converted into standard georeferenced raster graphics. The derived maps are provided in any projection, as 8-bit or 24-bit GeoTIFF rasters at 254 dpi resolution.
For military and intelligence East View Cartographic provides national topographic data in ADRG or CADRG standards.
