Regional road vector and street level vector datasets from East View Cartographic are successfully used by many vehicle tracking, logistics and fleet management companies worldwide. Knowing the current status and location of vehicles is essential for many fleet managers. It leverages assets for optimum deployment, and in unstable regions of the world, provides additional mechanisms for securing the safety of personnel in the field.
Road vector databases are available over a number of countries and cities. Our approach is to use existing "off-the-shelf" data from local data providers as much as possible in order to minimize your investment and ensure that you have the most recent and accurate data from the field.
Countrywide road databases are extracted from medium-scale topographic sources at 1:100,000-1:250,000 scales and updated from Landsat or SPOT satellite imagery. Street-level vector databases are ideally suited to a variety of applications such as site selection, market analysis, vehicle navigation, customer service, and network analysis.
Our large-scale foreign topographic maps are an essential "must have" for field operations in foreign countries, especially in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Southeast Asia. The data can be provided in GIS vector format and may be updated or supplemented with recent satellite imagery. East View Cartographic also offers locally produced road maps to support your operations.
