Terrain Analysis of Afghanistan is the first in a series of terrain analyses that will include Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, China, and more. This publication provides local soil, hydrology, climate, population and other physical environment reports for Afghanistan based on the translation of narrative information appearing on the verso side of Russian Military 1:200,000 scale topographic maps.
