Road Network

East View Cartographic provides digital vector road data optimized for route analysis and planning, vehicle navigation and dispatch, and fleet management. Depending on the customerWVSPLUS (World Vector Shoreline Plus) s area of interest we can offer either an existing off-the-shelf solution or create a dataset from scratch using the most recent sources including satellite imagery, city maps, tourist guides, and other reference materials.

Countrywide road databases are extracted from medium-scale topographic sources at 1:100,000 to 1:250,000 scales and updated from Landsat or SPOT satellite imagery. The databases contain administrative boundaries, highways and major roads, airports and airfields, railroads, major hydrography (if necessary) and built-up areas. Road description is usually taken from most recent national road maps and road atlases.

Street-level vector databases are ideally suited to a variety of applications such as site selection, market analysis, vehicle navigation, customer service, and network analysis. Usually the databases are collected at 1:10,000 scale and encompass a comprehensive range of data including: urban areas, water, administrative boundaries, highways, major and secondary roads, streets, ferries, railroads, airfields and airports, points of interest (recreational, business and consumer-related) and parks. In many cases address ranges or even individual building addresses are available.
