America's first "spy" system, the KH-1 Corona, conducted its first and only successful reconnaissance mission in August 1960. The system carried a single panoramic camera with 24 inch focal length. Over 1,400 scenes with best ground resolution of ca. 25 feet were collected during the first successful mission.
