The National Elevation Dataset (NED) 30m DEM is the primary elevation data product of the USGS. The NED 30m DEM is a seamless raster elevation dataset of the conterminous United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and territorial islands. EVC makes this DEM data available in its entirety, as a value-added product.

This DEM provides essential elevation information for any GIS or mapping project over the United States. The resolution of the DEM is 1-arcsecond, or approximately 30m. One exception is Alaska, where most of the state is available at 2-arcseconds, or approximately 60m.
